The third season of Supernatural began airing on 4th October, 2007 and ended 15th May, 2008 totaling sixteen episodes with lead roles being performed by Katie Cassidy, Jensen Ackles, Lauren Cohan and Jared Padalecki.
The storyline followed this season is about the Winchester brothers still going ahead with their hunting spree, the entry of Ruby who is, very strangely, a kind hearted demon and the animosity of the brothers with a skilled robber, Bela Talbot, who has stolen the Colt. The evil, by and large, is Lilith for the whole season and also covered is the actuality that the deal Dean has sealed will make sure that before heading for Hell, this would be his final year on the planet.
This season was also affected by the Writers Guild of America strike (2007 – 2008) which resulted in reduction of the number of the episodes that are usually 22 to just 16.
