Season 4 of the horror series Supernatural debuted on 18th September 2008. In the first episode Dean wakes up to find himself in a pine box after being freed from hell by angel Castiel, who informs the overjoyed Dean, Sam and Bobby that God has work for Dean and that is why he was pulled from hell by Castiel. Sam, Dean and Bobby are plagued and accused by the ghosts of the people they were unable to save. Dean travels back in time to the era when his parents John and Mary are young and just falling in love. He also comes to understand his family’s reasons for being evil hunters as he comes to know about the secrets hidden in the past lives of his parents and grandparents. A hunter tells Dean and Sam about a suburban man Jack who is in the initial stages of turning into a flesh eating monster.
